We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering the development and well-being of children in our care. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and growth for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Develop and implement educational programs that cater to the developmental needs of children from infancy through preschool. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional development. Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and any incidents that occur. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Experience Must have 45 hrs DCF required A background in early childhood education or related field is preferred. Experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers or preschools is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential. Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage children in meaningful activities are crucial.
