Preschool Teacher Blue Harbor Preschool Academy Port Saint Lucie, FL 34983 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires an understanding of early childhood education principles and the ability to implement engaging learning activities that promote literacy and child welfare. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and learning. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe and orderly space. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and development. Observe and assess children’s behavior and development, providing early intervention when necessary. Incorporate Montessori methods to facilitate independent learning among students. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for children. Promote literacy education through engaging activities that encourage reading and language development. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and child welfare regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to educate and inspire young learners through creative teaching methods. Experience in behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs. Familiarity with Montessori educational approaches is preferred but not required.
