Seasonal Summer Camp Counselor Saplings Port Orange Port Orange, FL 32129 Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster personal growth while ensuring the well-being of campers. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and possess skills in childhood development and behavior management. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Execute and implement age-appropriate programs that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork. Provide support in hands-on assistance to help campers with challenges. Foster positive relationships with campers. Manage camper behavior by implementing effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents about camper progress and any concerns. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team environment. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to program. Daily cleaning inline with company expectations and DCF requirements. Qualifications Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred. Teaching background preferred, would make excellent role for a teacher as a part-time summer role! Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential. Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse needs among campers. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with campers, parents, and staff members. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
