Floater Teacher 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 2641 US Highway 17, Richmond Hill, GA 31324 The Children’s Village, an early-childhood educational center located in Richmond Hill, GA is accepting applications for a Floater Teacher. The Floater teacher will be responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom, assisting children with their personal hygiene and clean-up of classroom, serving snack, supervising the children, and assisting with homework. Teacher must also maintain a clean, sanitary, attractive and well-organized classroom. Teacher must also attend in-service and staff development training programs, become familiar with state licensing requirements, and TCV policies. Floater teacher must have one of the following: High School Diploma, enrolled in an ECE Program or a related field Child Development Associate (CDA), Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood, Infant/Toddler, or Program Administration or School Age Care, Technical College Diploma (TCD) in Early Childhood, Associate’s Degree In Early Childhood, Paraprofessional Certificate, 25 quarter or 15 semester credit hours in Early Childhood Bachelor’s Degree in a field other than Early childhood and 3 months experience, Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Master’s Degree in Early Childhood.
All teachers must:
- Be able to stand for long periods at a time
- Be able to sit and play with children, and able to get up off floor quickly in case of emergencies
- Have a desire to enrich the growth of the children in our care
- Provide two (recent) professional references required
- Have great interpersonal skills, i.e. excellent communication skills; positive attitude; ability to work well with others, etc.
