Job Description
Lead Infant Teacher 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 420 North Cromley Road, Brooklet, GA 30415 Job Summary The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. The teacher supports infants’ developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities, ensures consistent caregiving routines, and fosters positive relationships with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Infant Care & Supervision:
Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and maintaining sleep schedules. Ensure a clean, safe, and engaging environment at all times.
Developmental Support:
Plan and implement activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development. Monitor and document developmental milestones and behaviors.
Health & Safety:
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Maintain accurate records of feedings, diaper changes, incidents, and developmental observations.
Family Communication:
Build strong, respectful relationships with families. Provide daily updates and developmental progress reports.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or equivalent in early childhood education (preferred or required depending on location). Experience working with infants in a licensed child care setting. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving.
