Infant and/or Toddler Teacher 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars Savannah, GA 31406 Summary Isle of Hope Baptist Child Development Center is seeking a committed Early Childhood professional to work in a faith based Childcare Center. Applicant must organize and lead faith-based curriculum and prayer. Applicant must be knowledgeable in Early Childhood Education. We are looking for someone who loves children and understands their developmental stages. We are a small school with a strong family feel. We care for our children in a loving, encouraging atmosphere. Our center is on a beautiful property!

We want our Center to be the child’s “home away from home.” By nurturing children in a safe, loving, Christian environment, we want to teach good manners and honesty to help establish responsibility and self-esteem as they play, learn, and grow. Duties As lead teacher, applicant would be required to make and carry out lesson plans that meet State Standards. Applicant is to teach what is on their lesson plans weekly, not just free play. Applicant must love and care for the children in their class while maintaining a safe, stimulating classroom. Applicant must be able to lift children, achieve child’s eye level, change diapers, supervise outdoor activities in the sun, heat, and cold multiple times a day per State Standards, interact with children on the floor and in chairs of various heights, communicate clearly with children, parents and staff; yelling will not be permitted, assist children during lunch and naptime, make sure children are changed regularly and kept clean, and use Procare. Applicant must deep clean their classroom daily, to include disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Applicant would keep accurate records of each child’s development. Applicant is expected to work well with our team of teachers and assistants and maintain a professional attitude while at work. Requirements Lead teachers must have one of the following: A Child Development Associate credential (CDA), a Technical Certificate of Credit in Early Childhood (TCC), or an Associate’s Degree or Higher in Early Childhood Education. CPR and First Aid training and 10-hour Health & Safety within 90 days of hire. Applicant must be willing to follow our mission statement and lead by example. Applicant must be able to work FT, Monday through Friday. Applicant must have reliable transportation. Applicant must dress professionally at all times. Cell phones or ear pods are not acceptable unless required for reporting. Applicant must pass a background check. Our center is NOT a babysitting service, but a teaching facility. Nice To Haves 1+ years of experience in ECE, a soft and calming voice, positive and upbeat personality, able to communicate effectively, able to work professionally.
