Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a positive learning environment. If you have experience working with children, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and have a passion for early childhood education, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, kindness, and cooperation
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs or learning challenges, including those on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with educational standards
- Assess student progress through observation, assessment tools, and parent conferences
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements
- Ensure the health and safety of all students by following proper procedures for supervision, hygiene, and emergency situations
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment while promoting positive behavior management techniques
- Proficiency in math concepts relevant to preschool education
- Knowledge of literacy education strategies for young learners
Note:
All positions must be paid including internship positions.
