POSITION AREA
Toddler Teacher (18 months-2 year-olds)
POSITION SUMMARY
Teacher will be responsible for teaching the Phonics and Math curriculum and assisting in all other classes. Teachers will focus on educating and encouraging children’s self-development. Teachers will work as a team member within the classroom and will have the opportunity to plan together. Teachers will create monthly newsletters and lessons plans following Bright from the Start guidelines. Teachers must create good and positive communication with parents regarding child’s progress and activities in the classroom.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist teachers supervising students and helping with their daily needs Basic computer skills Assist teachers with daily routine Adapt teaching methods to meet students’ needs and interest Create a positive classroom environment The hours are full-time (32-40 hours). Teachers must be able to work morning and afternoons. Shifts will be no later than 6:30 pm Hourly pay depending on credentials
Professional Development Opportunities:
Yearly training hours (online and in person) Assistance in enrolling and attaining the CDA (Child Development Associates)
QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one year in childcare preferred
EDUCATION
High school or higher. We are a bilingual school so a second language is a plus, but not required Must be able to pass a background criminal check Excellent classroom and time management skills Must be creative and strive for excellence Must be punctual and dependable (very important) Be able to pick a child 35lb and be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs Good References
