Your prime responsibility is to teach them the fundamental concepts and skills for kindergarten readiness, such as identifying numbers and letters, socializing well with others, and working effectively in a classroom structure. Patience, compassion, and energy are all vital qualities of a successful pre-K teacher. A pre-K teacher is inspiring, encouraging, and developing young children, each of whom will have different abilities, challenges, and personalities. The top candidates will also have a creative mindset, organizational and differentiation skills, in order to plan and impement lessons which are innovative, provide lifelong experience and achieve the desired learning outcomes. A pre-K teacher should be able to take a child from where they are and make them blossom and be able to add another year or more to their learning, social and foundational skills.

Pre-K Teacher Responsibilities:

Teaching children about core concepts, such as numbers, letters, shapes, and colors. Using creative, hands-on methods, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling. Planning a curriculum that addresses early childhood education requirements utilizing Georgia GELDS standards. Ability to implement and understand the Highscope curriculumn. Encouraging and monitoring social interactions between children. Instilling a sense of respect and discipline, so that children work effectively in a classroom setting. Supervising children outside of class time, such as during lunch, out on the playground, or on field trips. Making sure that the classroom is clean, disinfected, safe, and well-organized. Setting up the materials and workspaces required for class activities. Ability to diffrentiatiate the curriculum based of individual learning needs without watering down the curriculum. Develop good rapport with each parent to learn about individual children’s needs, and interests. Creating reports to inform parents about their children’s progress at school.

Pre-K Teacher Requirements:

Education degree (Associate degree minimum) with a focus on early childhood learning, Strong experience in teaching children in the pre-kindergarten age group. • Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods. Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy. Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts between children. Creativity is critical to this role. Ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel. Being a positive role model is imperative in teaching young children Salary Is negotiable
