Atlanta, GA 30312 (Applicants must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to start) Position Overview Grant Park Cooperative Preschool (GPCP), a Reggio Emilia-inspired learning community rooted in child-centered and relationship-based practices, is seeking three thoughtful and reliable Floating Educators to support our classrooms during the afternoon portion of the day. These positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and eager to contribute meaningfully to a collaborative school environment. Floating Educators play a vital role in sustaining the daily rhythm of the school. Working across classrooms with children ranging in age from infancy through preschool, Floaters provide consistent care, responsive support, and flexible coverage to ensure that each child experiences a safe and nurturing end to their day. This is an excellent opportunity for educators looking to grow within a Reggio-inspired setting while supporting multiple age groups and teaching teams. Key Responsibilities Support lead and assistant educators in classroom transitions, outdoor exploration, nap time, and end-of-day routines. Build responsive and trusting relationships with children through play, conversation, and presence. Step into various classrooms as needed to provide coverage or additional support. Maintain a calm, caring, and attentive presence across age groups. Assist with classroom tidying and preparation during transitions or shift changes. Collaborate with the team to uphold classroom agreements, safety protocols, and the school’s mission. Qualifications Experience working with young children in a formal or informal setting preferred. Enthusiasm for play-based, child-led learning and a willingness to learn more about the Reggio Emilia approach. Ability to adapt to different classroom environments with ease, confidence, and professionalism. Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
