Center Director Position Summary:

Semaj Learning Academy is seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Lead Teacher for our 3•and 4-year-old classroom. The Lead Teacher plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We are looking for a team player who values early childhood education, embraces structure, and brings creativity and care into the classroom.

Qualifications:

CDA or higher (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred) Minimum of 1 year experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain) Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with age-appropriate developmental goals Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where each child feels valued Observe, assess, and document children’s growth and progress Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians about classroom activities and individual child development Collaborate with assistant teachers and administrative staff to maintain program standards and compliance Ensure classroom meets licensing and health/safety standards Support and model positive behavior and social skills development

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday Typical shift: 7:00 AM•4:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch break)

Compensation:

Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials
