Assistant 2 year old class Yellow Rocket Tech & Science Academy 7257 Turner Lake Rd NW, Covington, GA 30014 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant to join our team in a nurturing environment focused on early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to support their development in a preschool or daycare setting. This role is essential in providing a safe, engaging, and educational experience for children from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities and programs for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment conducive to learning. Provide individual attention to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Engage with children through play, educational games, and hands-on activities that promote learning and development. Collaborate with lead teachers to assess children’s progress and adapt activities to meet their individual needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Must interact with children through talk, dance and play. Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create a nurturing environment that fosters children’s growth and development. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for educating young children. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
