About Us:
We are a privately owned early learning center in Oconee County offering a summer program for school-aged children (3-12 years old). Our summer camp blends fun, structure, and enrichment through games, outdoor play, crafts, and themed weekly activities. We’re looking for energetic, dependable Summer Camp Counselors to help make it a memorable experience for our campers.
Position Overview:
Summer Camp Counselors are responsible for supporting classroom teachers and leading age-appropriate activities for young children. This role is ideal for college students pursuing education, child development, or related fields—or anyone who enjoys working with children in a fun and engaging setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with children through games, arts and crafts, music, stories, and outdoor play Help maintain a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest time Assist with classroom setup, transitions, and cleanup Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to deliver a smooth daily schedule Be a role model for positive behavior, kindness, and cooperation Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications:
Required:
At least 18 years old High school diploma or GED (or working toward one) Enjoy working with children and being part of a team Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to the full summer schedule Pass background check and fingerprinting required by
Georgia Childcare Licensing Preferred:
Some experience working with children (babysitting, camp, church nursery, etc.) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
