Nursery Floater Emery’s Child Care and Preschool 8233 John Leblanc Boulevard, Sorrento, LA 70778 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Floater to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and the flexibility to support various classrooms as needed. This role is essential in providing a nurturing and safe environment for children while assisting teachers in their daily activities. The Nursery Floater will engage with children, support their development, and ensure that each child feels valued and cared for. Duties Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive manner. Assist teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities. Provide behavior management support to maintain a positive classroom environment. Help with classroom management by organizing materials and ensuring cleanliness. Support infants and toddlers with care routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Adapt to various classrooms as needed, providing consistent care across age groups. Monitor children’s interactions and developmental progress. Requirements Previous experience in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children’s needs. Strong classroom management skills to create an engaging learning environment. Experience with infant care is a plus. Background in babysitting or nannying can be beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members. A genuine love for working with children and supporting their growth. Flexibility to adapt to different classrooms and age groups as needed.
