Daycare Assistant Jumpstart Academy, LLC 202 West Fairfield Drive, Broussard, LA 70518 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the daycare, ensuring that all children receive quality care and education. This role is essential in supporting the lead teachers and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for toddlers and preschoolers. Duties Assist in supervising and engaging with children during playtime, meals, and educational activities. Provide care for toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and maintaining hygiene. Support classroom management by helping to implement daily schedules and lesson plans. Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with children with disabilities or special needs. Educate children through age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment to ensure safety and comfort for all children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in training sessions related to first aid and early childhood education as required. Experience Previous experience in toddler care or preschool settings is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices or working with students with disabilities is a plus. Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial. A background in early childhood education or caregiving will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
