Early Childhood Teacher Kid City Daycare & preschool 420 Foreman Drive, Lafayette, LA 70506 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the developmental needs of children from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies and appropriate classroom management techniques. Provide individualized support to students with special needs, ensuring their inclusion in all activities. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and development through meetings and reports. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across different subjects and activities. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Requirements Proven experience working with students in an early childhood setting, preferably in daycare or private school environments. A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is highly desirable. Experience in special education or tutoring is beneficial for supporting diverse learning needs. Knowledge of toddler care principles and practices to effectively nurture young children’s growth. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
