Substitute Daycare Teacher Willow and Oak Early Learning Center 104 Louisiana Dr, Thibodaux, LA 70301 Overview We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment for children when regular teachers are unavailable. Your ability to engage with students, manage classroom behavior, and deliver educational content will be essential in ensuring that students continue to thrive at our center. Responsibilities Implement curriculum activities provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior guidance Engage students in various activities that promote learning and development. Supervise students during class activities and transitions. Perform daily cleaning duties such as cleaning up after mealtimes and sanitizing toys/cleaning floors at the end of shift Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any incidents that occur during the day. Qualifications Experience in classroom settings or childcare environments is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Skills in caregiving, including toddler and infant care, are advantageous First aid certification is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff. Flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse classroom situations effectively.
