Preschool Teacher, School of Human Ecology:
9-month appointment, 90% teaching and 10% service: to begin September 1, 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The faculty member will be expected to:
- Teach and care for three- and four-year-olds
- Maintain lesson plans and other necessary records as required by the Louisiana Department of Education
- Coordinate parent involvement
- Maintain yearly continuing education credits
- Keep NAEYC records
- Supervise student residents and practica students
- Collaborate on grants with faculty
- Participate in professional, university, and community service
QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Family and Child Studies or Human Development and Family Science. State of Louisiana teaching certificate or ancillary teaching certificate (or eligibility to obtain one); Excellent teaching skills; Certified reliable in CLASS evaluation method.
