Responsibilities:

• Provide care and supervision to children in a nursery setting during church service and possibly choir practice. Initially, the position would be for Sundays but could grow to Wednesday nights.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
• Implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic needs of the children
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
• Monitor children for any signs of distress or illness and provide appropriate care
• Collaborate with other nursery workers to ensure smooth operation of the facility

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or nursery setting
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Strong caregiving skills and ability to provide emotional support to children
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children
• Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus
