Assistant Educator – Child Care / Preschool Sage Montessori School 26 Chestnut Street, Hyannis, MA 02601 Start a Career in Early Childhood Education and the Montessori Method Sage Montessori School is a nonprofit child care center serving children ages 3-6. Sage Montessori is a growing school with unlimited opportunities for advancement and significant support to complete certifications and training. Assistant Educator You will be spending your time with children ages 3-6. You will get to know each child’s unique interests and personality and support them to choose activities from a wide range of options in the learning environment. You will also work with small groups of children (2-4 at a time) singing songs, reading books, preparing food, and playing games. We often walk with the children to a nearby city park or the public library. An ideal candidate is patient and kind, enjoys working with young children, is curious to learn about each child’s interests and personalities, and open to learning new educational methods. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. At least one year of experience working with children as a job (babysitting does not qualify) or at least one year of experience as a parent. Wages & Hours Starting wages $17/hour or better with opportunities for advancement and wage increases. Part time opportunity available for 10 – 15 hours per week. Shift will be Monday through Friday from approximately 3pm until 5:30pm.
