Part-time Preschool Teacher Codimonk Nursery School Westport, MA 02790 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher for our Preschool/Pre-K classroom to join our educational team beginning in September 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As Preschool/Pre-K teacher, you will play a crucial role in implementing engaging curricula that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development in young learners. Your expertise in behavior management and effective communication will be essential in guiding both students and fellow educators. We promote learning through hands-on experiences, play, and teacher directed activities. We want to provide each child with a variety of experiences to explore the world around them and guide them through the Early Childhood Education journey. Set schedule of 25 hours per week. Program hours are 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday – Friday. We follow the Westport Public School calendar. Responsibilities Support the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum aligned with MA Early Learning Guidelines Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports child welfare and encourages student engagement. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns. Assess student performance regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet diverse learning needs. Other supportive duties as assigned Qualifications Teacher certified according to the MA Department of EEC Proven experience in teaching, particularly in early childhood settings or private schools. Strong knowledge of child development principles and early intervention techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learners effectively. A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
