Somerville, MA Age group: Prek-K Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. The required candidate should have a Lead Teacher experience in her previous role. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children for age group (Prek-K) Responsibilities Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and learning objectives. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning. Assess and document children’s progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations. Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children’s development at home. Utilize various teaching methods including behavioral therapy, speech therapy, and literacy education to meet the diverse needs of children. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom setting. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with early childhood education trends. Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and adaptations as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Experience working with children in daycare or educational settings is essential. Lead Teacher experience is a must Knowledge of curriculum development techniques tailored for early childhood education. Familiarity with deaf education practices is a plus. Skills in behavioral therapy, speech therapy, or literacy education are highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity among students. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
