We are currently seeking a customer service oriented professional for a kitchen and facilities assistant. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, healthy, and beautiful campus environment for all children, parents, and faculty to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Manage school inventory of consumable supplies and support teachers with maintaining their individual classroom inventories Maintain high-quality appearance and cleanliness of all common areas Own and execute the school-wide laundry schedule Manage school inventory of laundry items including, but not limited to sheets, blankets, bibs, and detergent Support the School Chef with maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy kitchen environment. This includes, but is not limited to keeping all refrigeration, storage, and working areas in clean, working condition in compliance with Department of Health Regulations. Support School Chef with meal preparation ensuring that school standards specific to portion size and bite size are followed for each age group. Support School Chef with cleaning food preparation equipment, as well as classroom plates/bowls, utensils, and cups per the school protocol. Assists with facilities related items as assigned Serve as backup to the School Chef when the chef is absent Assists in other capacities that Owner, Director, or designee, determines is necessary

Qualifications:

Must meet basic requirements of the state’s background check process Ability to relate positively to young children is essential Prior food service or facilities experience in a group setting is preferred Prior experience in quantity food preparation a plus Kitchen certifications (Serv Safe, Allergen Awareness) a plus Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
