July 1, 2025 Bilingual Teacher Experience Preferred (Spanish) Position Summary Real Life Learning Center, a Christ-centered private school in Somerville, MA, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten Teacher who is committed to nurturing young minds in a Christian environment. The ideal candidate will help students develop foundational skills in reading, writing, and social-emotional growth, while integrating Christian values into daily lessons and activities. This teacher will provide individualized support to students, tailoring instruction to meet each child’s unique needs, ensuring that every student thrives academically and spiritually. This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a consistent on-site presence from 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Classroom Instruction & Student Support Plan and implement engaging, developmentally-appropriate lesson plans focused on early literacy, numeracy, writing, and social-emotional skills. Integrate Christian teachings into the curriculum, helping students develop moral character, empathy, and a love for God. Foster a classroom environment that encourages active participation, kindness, and respect, reflecting Christian principles in daily interactions. Focus on individualized learning, recognizing each student’s unique needs and learning pace to ensure that all children receive the appropriate support. Use a variety of teaching methods, including guided reading, phonics, hands-on activities, and play-based learning, to cater to different learning styles. Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction to meet their evolving academic and spiritual needs. Provide regular, constructive feedback to both students and parents regarding academic performance, behavior, and overall development. Parent & Community Relations Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s progress, behavior, and any areas of concern. Incorporate faith-based family engagement, encouraging parents to be active partners in their child’s spiritual and academic journey. Foster a welcoming, inclusive school environment that reflects the school’s Christian values. Document and address any concerns regarding student conduct or welfare, ensuring clear communication and proper follow-up. Classroom Management & Operations Maintain an organized, inviting, and functional classroom that reflects a Christ-centered environment and promotes learning. Oversee the management of classroom materials and supplies, ensuring that each child has the necessary tools for success. Assist in organizing and participating in school activities such as field trips, seasonal events, and holiday celebrations, infusing Christian faith into school traditions. Support the administrative team with tasks like student attendance, progress reports, and maintaining student records.

Compensation & Benefits Weekly Salary:

$600•700/week

Annual Salary Equivalent:

Approximately $31,200•36,400/year One-Year Contract with potential for renewal based on performance and fit. Paid during all school vacations, including: Thanksgiving Break Winter Break (Christmas/New Year’s) February Vacation April Vacation All recognized school holidays are paid

Experience working with young children, particularly in a Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten setting, and knowledge of early childhood development. Knowledgeable in teaching foundational literacy and writing skills, with a focus on individualized learning. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to creating a supportive, nurturing classroom environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (preferred, but not required). Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to provide the best educational experience for students. A passion for guiding children’s spiritual and academic growth, supporting them both in their relationship with God and in their educational journey.
