Teacher – Preschool South Shore Young Mens Christian Association 48 Jacobs Lane, Norwell, MA 02061 Inspire. Nurture. Lead. What You’ll Do:
Create & Implement:
Develop engaging lesson plans that support children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
Nurture & Support:
Foster strong relationships with children and families, keeping them informed of their progress.
Ensure Safety & Inclusion:
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued.
Collaborate & Grow:
Work with a team of educators to create a positive, cohesive classroom atmosphere.
Meet High Standards:
Maintain compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards. Create a bond between children and the natural world.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and staff. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child growth and development. Classroom experience is preferred but not required—we value dedication and a willingness to learn. Qualifications:
Teacher:
Meets EEC Teacher qualifications.
Lead Teacher:
Meets EEC Lead Teacher qualifications. Degree in Early Childhood Education (Associate’s preferred, Bachelor’s a plus). Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices. Must be at least 18 years old. Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, lift up to 25 lbs, and actively engage in activities such as climbing, running, and outdoor play. Ready to Make an Impact?
