Toddler Teacher Magic Dragon Children’s Center 93 Chandler Street, Duxbury, MA 02332 Overview The Magic Dragon Children’s Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team during the 25-26 school year. Hours for this position are 11 a.m. – 5:15 p.m., Monday – Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Toddler Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity. Monitor and assess children’s progress in various developmental areas including social skills, language, and motor skills. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support the overall development of each child. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate children with diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records of children’s development and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Requirements Experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting Associate Teacher/Teacher level will be based on the candidate’s degree status, and number of Early Childhood Education courses completed EEC Teacher/Lead Teacher certification preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies. Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to various learning styles. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
