Full Job Description Our Program:

Webster Square Day Care Center is a Program of Pernet Family Health Service, a private non-profit organization. The Program provides comprehensive quality early education and care services to children, ages 2.9-6 years. This position will be responsible for providing an early childhood education program for children between the ages of 2.9 years to 5 years old. The Teacher develops and leads educational activities. We believe that the work of the child is play, and through play experiences children learn. We are seeking candidates that share our philosophy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead educational activities.
• Maintain appropriate and professional communication with parents and staff.
• Be familiar with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold assessment. Must be familiar with NAEYC accreditation.
• Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
• Possess strong written and verbal skills.
• Attend monthly staff meetings (evening).

Must have good classroom management skills and be able to work as part of a teaching team.

Education and Experience :

• Must hold a minimum of EEC Teacher Certification/Qualifications (Associate Degree or higher preferred)
• Must be CPR and First Aid Certified
• Must have a minimum of 9 months experience working with preschool-age children

Hours:

25-30 hours a week
