Preschool Teacher 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 17 Railroad Avenue, Gorham, ME 04038 We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Education Preschool Teacher to join our talented teaching team in our Gorham location. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Classroom Collaboration Support lesson plans that reflect children’s interests and developmental needs Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued Help track student progress and document learning milestones Assist with daily updates and records using the Procare system Student Engagement Lead hands-on, age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and joy Offer one-on-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs Build positive, trusting relationships that foster social and emotional development Encourage respectful behavior and a strong classroom community Behavior Guidance Reinforce classroom expectations and promote positive behaviors Help manage peer conflicts using calm and constructive strategies Communicate behavior observations to Lead Teachers and families Model patience, empathy, and effective problem-solving Health & Safety Supervise children closely during all activities, including outdoor play Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Follow all school policies and licensing regulations Maintain or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification Teamwork & Communication Collaborate with fellow educators to deliver a consistent and enriching learning experience Communicate professionally with families to support student development Use child-friendly language to help children understand and grow Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Share insights, ideas, and resources in a positive team environment What We’re Looking For High school diploma required; Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting Knowledge of child development and early education best practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexible, patient, and genuinely passionate about working with preschoolers CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to become certified If you’re ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners and grow alongside a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!
