Early Childhood Educator Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Teach various various subjects, in a fun and engaging manner
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for children’s social-emotional growth
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child’s needs
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including child welfare guidelines
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of young learners
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning through play
- Organizational skills to manage classroom materials, resources, and student records A CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not required.
Candidates should have a minimum two years experience working with young children. Time of Wonder Early Learning Center is a year-round, full-day, not for profit childcare facility located in beautiful York Harbor.
