Preschool Teacher Stepping Stones Learning Center 2 Punkin Town Road, South Berwick, ME 03908 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of children. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies. Teach various subjects including math, physical education, and special education concepts tailored for preschoolers. Conduct assessments to monitor children’s progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents and guardians to support child welfare and development. Participate in curriculum development initiatives to enhance educational offerings. Provide care for toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a preschool setting or similar environment. Strong skills in behavior management techniques. Knowledge of lesson planning principles and curriculum development practices. Experience in teaching physical education or related activities is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. Understanding of child welfare standards and best practices in toddler care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members. A genuine passion for early childhood education and the ability to inspire young learners.
