Preschool Teacher St. Paul Lutheran childcare 4715 Frederick Avenue, Saint Joseph, MO 64506 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where preschool-aged children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills for their future. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of preschool children. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess children’s progress in various areas including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among students. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning and development at home. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that is conducive to learning. Integrate activities that promote early math skills, literacy, and creative expression through play. Provide care for toddlers when necessary, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Skills Experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting is essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is required. Familiarity with special education strategies is a plus. Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children’s interactions. Ability to create engaging lesson plans focused on early childhood education standards. Proficient in teaching basic math concepts suitable for preschool learners. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
