Pre-K Teacher Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Pre-K teacher to join our team at Adventures In Learning Childcare Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding young children in various educational activities, including arts and crafts, free play, storytelling, and class outings. As a teacher, you will need to teach fundamental concepts such as identifying numbers and letters, socializing well with others, and working effectively in a classroom structure. We are seeking a creative and innovative individual who can inspire, encourage, and develop young children with different abilities, challenges, and personalities. You will need to possess strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills to plan and execute lessons that are memorable, innovative, and achieve the desired learning outcomes. Your primary goal will be to provide the foundation your classroom needs to prepare for the future, finding ways to enhance the lives of others every day.
Responsibilities:
Maintain high-quality child care standards based on developmentally appropriate practices Coordinate classroom functions and schedule including meals, curriculum, and other activities Ensure ratio requirements fulfilled at all times Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of the Center and follow directives from Director and Leadership Team Maintain up to date and accurate records including attendance, incident reports, meals, etc. Attend professional development seminars to maintain an understanding of the current best practices of curriculum and administrative functions of child development programs Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement Represent the Center in a professional, courteous, and positive manner at all times
Qualifications:
A high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred Must be able to pass background, drug, and all other tests/checks as required by applicable government entities At least one year of professional experience caring for young children is required CPR/First Aid certification is preferred
