Infant/Toddler Montessori Guide Smithville Montessori Academy Smithville, MO 64089 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Montessori Guide to join our nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering the development of infants and toddlers through the Montessori method. This role requires a compassionate individual who can create a safe, engaging, and stimulating atmosphere for young children while promoting their independence and love for learning. The ideal candidate would be required to enroll in infant/toddler training paid by the employer. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum tailored to the needs of infants and toddlers. Create a warm, inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Observe and assess each child’s development, providing individualized support as needed. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space that meets health and safety standards. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for children. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Experience working with students in an educational setting focused on the Montessori philosophy. Demonstrated skills in classroom management and behavior management. Familiarity with infant care practices and early childhood education principles. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required or will be required within 60 days of employment offer. Demonstrate a growth mindset and willingness to enter into training specialized in infant/toddler Montessori education.
