The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Provide individualized attention to each child, recognizing their unique needs and developmental stages. Monitor and assess children’s progress in various areas including social skills, language development, and motor skills. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Up to date shot record Ability to pass a background check Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving. First Aid and CPR certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage diverse behaviors in a positive manner while supporting children with disabilities as needed. A nurturing attitude combined with the ability to set clear boundaries for children’s behavior.
