Early Childhood Teacher Every Little Step Early Learning Center Guntown, MS 38849 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves working with children in preschool and daycare settings, focusing on their social, emotional, and educational development. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of children. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students. Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day. Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children’s progress and address any concerns. Incorporate physical education activities into daily routines to promote health and wellness. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special educational needs. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting lesson plans as necessary to meet individual learning goals. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience in preschool or daycare settings is highly desirable. Proficient in lesson planning tailored for young children’s developmental stages. Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment. Ability to educate children through creative play, structured activities, and hands-on experiences. Experience working with children with special education needs is a plus. Knowledge of toddler care routines and best practices for nurturing young children. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues. Qualifications Must be 18 years old A high school diploma or GED, with preferred education in Early childhood education or a related field. May require CDA credential or other relevant certification First aid/ CPR (or obtain within 30 days of hire); other assigned trainings Physical Demands Must be able to kneel, climb, jump, push, walk, stand and sit Must be able to hold average sized child Exposure to sun Join us in making a difference in the lives of young learners by providing them with the foundation they need for lifelong success!
