Three Year old Teacher 8:15 am-5:15pm Catawba Ridge Child Development Center 1635 20th Avenue Drive NE, Hickory, NC 28601 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula and engaging activities that promote learning through play. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students. Engage children in hands-on learning experiences that encourage exploration and curiosity. Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth. Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the overall development of each child. Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and classroom activities. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, including special education strategies. Experience A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred. Previous experience working in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with caregiving techniques and special education practices is a plus. Experience working with children in various capacities, including childcare or classroom settings, is essential. Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial for ensuring the safety of all students.
