Childcare Teacher/Floater Flaming Sword Christian Academy 3230 Legion Road, Hope Mills, NC 28348
Responsibilities:
- Meet regularly with teachers and other staff to develop weekly age appropriate lesson plans and activities for all age groups.
- Responsible for implementing performance standards, policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines in the day to day operation of an early childhood development center.
- Able to learn each teachers daily routines within their classroom and the individual routines for each child.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Monitor and supervise children during playtime, meals, outside play, and naptime
- Assist with potty training and personal hygiene tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Educate yourself on all state compliance regulations to childcare as well as our own internal policies and procedures, and to enforce (when necessary) in a professional and caring manner.
- Be flexible so you are able to move into different classrooms. Qualifications/Experience/Skills
- Must have a degree or working towards a degree in early childhood or at least 15 credits in the early childhood program
- Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques and strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young children
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Understanding of child welfare guidelines and regulations
- A positive mindset towards child learning and development
- Desire and ability to work with children of all ages with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Self-control
- the ability to maintain composure and keep emotions in check during stressful situations
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to fill in where situations require
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Understanding of childhood development principles to create age-appropriate activities.

- Strong organizational skills for effective lesson planning.
- Ability to provide attentive care for all ages.
