K-2 Grade Assistant Community School of Digital and Visual Arts 1955 West Cornwallis Road, Durham, NC 27705
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a daycare setting
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Assist with mealtime routines and diaper changes
- Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members
- Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and curriculum
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or childcare setting
- Familiarity with childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
