As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers in various activities including sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with camp goals. Provide support to campers with special needs or behavioral challenges, utilizing skills in behavior management and special education as necessary. Foster a positive camp culture by promoting teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Participate in staff training sessions and contribute to team meetings. Experience Previous experience working with children in settings such as childcare, tutoring, or sports coaching is highly desirable. Background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is preferred. Experience in special education or Christian counseling is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages and backgrounds. A passion for educating and mentoring young people while creating memorable camp experiences.
