Early Childhood Educator Saint John Community Child Care 1620 US Highway 158 W, Eure, NC 27935 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with developmental milestones while fostering a love for learning. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage learning through play and exploration. Foster a positive classroom environment that supports the emotional and social development of each child. Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents on their child’s development. Maintain classroom management to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all students. Collaborate with colleagues to create an integrated curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with disabilities. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Provide care for infants when necessary, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Qualifications 18 years or older with a High school diploma Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting is essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is required. Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment. Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Previous babysitting or childcare experience is beneficial. Ability to educate children through engaging activities that promote learning and development.
