Teacher/Floater Bright Start Learning Academy Learning Center 1109 East Memorial Drive, Ahoskie, NC 27910 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and classroom management, with the ability to create a positive learning environment that fosters student growth and engagement. This role requires an individual who is committed to nurturing students’ academic and personal development through effective teaching strategies and behavior management techniques. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations. Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles. Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student development and address any concerns. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote overall health and wellness among students. Requirements Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; teaching certification or have EDU 119. Experience working with students in a daycare or preschool classroom setting. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective teaching methodologies. Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning environment. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies. Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support is highly desirable. Knowledge of physical education principles is a plus. First Aid and CPR Preferred Must have or be eligible to submit childcare qualifying letter. ‘ Must be willing to complete a Criminal Background.
