Early Childhood/Childcare Lead Toddler Teacher 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 16604 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078
Primary Responsibilities:
First and foremost the Toddler Teacher’s/Caregiver’s responsibility will be to maintain the safety and well-being of the children and staff while implementing the Infant program in alignment with company policies, philosophies, and procedures in addition to state and county regulations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all policies and procedures contained in the Operations Manual, employee handbook, family handbook and enrollment packets, and curriculum guides (and assessment processes) and resources to our proprietary curriculum. Ensure that diapering, activities, photographs if permitted by families, assessments, lesson plans, portfolio updates, bottle feedings are documented and are accurate/updated. All incidents should be reported immediately to the center director and documented in a timely manner and efficiently on an incident report and is produced to the parent upon pick up as well. follow all TLE/state/county regulatory policies, health and safety policies, as well as supervision. maintain updated infant/child/adult CPR and first aid training Maintain a “tour ready” classroom at all times attend mandatory staff meetings and staff development trainings maintain documents such as portfolios and developmental assessments on each child
Secondary Responsibilities:
Support center staff as requested creating a positive learning environment for all children in your care maintaining a positive and upbeat work environment for yourself and your peers helping maintain the general appearance of the center and its common areas
Requirements:
current qualifying letter from the NC division of child development criminal records unit (good for five years from the date of issuance) an approved staff medical within a year of the date of hire on the state approved form (can be provided by center or found on the NCDCD website under provider documents) TB screening or TB skin test completed by a physician and documented on the NC division of child development’s TB skin test form (can be provided by center or on the NCDCD website) current It’s SIDS (NC licensing approved training) training (good within 3 years of the date of issuance) or signed up to take it within 45 days of hire if working in any capacity in the infant room. Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid Training (good for 2 years of the date of issuance) up to date and continues to be current during employment. Must receive certification within 30 days of employment.
