Overview:

ILIM School is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to lead engaging, hands-on music lessons that nurture students’ appreciation for music, rhythm, and expression. This role blends musical exploration with foundational skills, helping students build confidence, creativity, and collaboration through sound and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead music classes that introduce students to rhythm, melody, instruments, and vocal expression. Teach foundational music theory, listening skills, and performance etiquette. Design interactive lessons that include movement, singing, percussion, and creative expression. Organize student performances and musical showcases that celebrate progress and creativity. Foster a classroom environment that encourages exploration, expression, and teamwork. Assess student engagement and musical development through participatory activities. Collaborate with faculty to align music activities with broader curriculum goals and cultural celebrations

Qualifications:

Experience teaching music to children in early childhood or elementary settings. Background in early childhood or elementary education (Montessori/Waldorf/Reggio a plus). Familiarity with Orff, Kodály, Dalcroze, or other child-centered music education approaches Ability to create a joyful and structured learning environment that supports all learners. Strong classroom management and musical instruction skills. Proficiency in playing and teaching basic instruments (e.g., piano, percussion, ukulele, etc.).
