Full Job Description Compensation Range:

$18.00 – $28.00 $500 hiring bonus following successful completion of 90 days of employment document by performance evaluation. We are searching for energetic Preschool Teachers to provide high quality learning experiences for young children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Job Description Summary:

Ensures that the education environment supports the development of all children’s social and emotional development, cognitive, language skills, and physical skills Implements a curriculum that recognizes the need for individualized activities, integrates the educational aspects of all program areas, helps to develop children’s facility in social relationships, enhances each child’s understanding of self, and provides for the development of cognitive skills collaborate with the teacher assistant to ensure that lesson plans are well planned and implemented on a daily basis Assure the welfare of each child by arranging and maintaining a healthy, safe, clean, and attractive physical environment; setting up learning centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies Implement and collaborate with the teacher assistant to ensure that daily classroom gross motor activities are well planned Maintain a commitment to professionalism, especially as it relates to interactions with staff, parents, and other professionals. When interacting outside of Alliance Center for Education, you must build good communications and represent the agency in a positive and professional manner Be reliable in following through with commitments in the area of attendance and timeliness Ensure the classroom is clean and organize daily, making sure to sweep after each meal, sanitize toys and cots daily and other general housekeeping tasks

Required:

Must have or be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) within 1 year of service – (Birth to 35 month-olds) A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Services, or related. – (3 to 5 year-olds) Nonrelated Degrees are considered with a combination of experience and education Computer and written/verbal communication skills. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience working with children 6 weeks to 5 years of age Excellent written/verbal communication and computer skills Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
