Substitute Teacher Responsibilities:

Fill in for a teacher who has taken time off for vacation, illness, or other personal matters. Care for children for the duration of your shift, ensuring a safe and engaging early learning experience. Engage children in a variety of activities including educational games, arts and crafts, music, meal times, outdoor play, and more. Work with a team of teachers

• follow the lead of other teachers in the program and the director onsite. Maintain open communication with families about their child’s day. Bring your best and brightest self to work

• You get to pick your working location, hours, and schedule by selecting available shifts within the substitute teacher platform.

Shifts typically range from 4 to 8 hours between 6 AM and 6 PM.

Substitute Teacher Qualifications:

At least 18 years old. Able to successfully pass an NC Criminal Background Check for childcare centers to obtain a Criminal Background Check Qualification Letter. Must be willing to obtain or show proof of a physical and TB screening performed by a health care professional within the past 12 months. Must be patient, flexible, and a dependable team player eager to learn and grow. Passionate about working with children 0-5 years of age. Must have one of the following: A high school diploma or equivalent GED; A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential EDU 119 Early Childhood Credential ECE AA or BA Degree One year of documented experience working in a licensed child care facility

Pay:

Earn $14

• 18 per hour, based on experience, with additional incentives available for ongoing commitment to substitute teaching.
