Job Description

  • Position Summary:
  • The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for creating educational experiences that promote school readiness in a safe, engaging learning environment. This includes curriculum development, classroom management, child assessments, and supporting family and community engagement.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with Head Start Performance Standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe classroom and supervise the Teacher Assistant
  • Conduct child assessments and maintain records
  • Engage with families through home visits and parent conferences
  • Collaborate with Family Advocates and support all Head Start service areas
  • Attend training and submit required reports.
  • Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification and reliable transportation.
