Job Description

Infant Teacher Greystone Baptist Preschool 7509 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27615 We are a small ministry of a local church offering child care to children from infants to 5 year olds. We are looking for an excited infant teacher to join us for our 2024-2025 Preschool year starting in August! The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children and a strong commitment to their development and well-being We offer a half-day preschool program. Teachers are expected to be work from 8:45am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday. Our schedule follows the Wake County Public Schools traditional calendar, with breaks at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring break that mirror WWCPSS.

Duties:
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate growth and learning.
  • Monitor and document each child’s progress and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • Previous experience working with infants or in a childcare setting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of infant developmental stages and early intervention strategies
  • -Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in early childhood education is a plus
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid and SIDS training required upon hiring
