Summer Group Leader The Pines Community Center 61 Summer Street, Tilton, NH 03276 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leader to oversee and guide a group of children in a nurturing and fun environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fun, adventure and spending time with children. This role involves creating engaging activities, fostering positive relationships with campers, and ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for their development. Duties Lead and supervise a group of children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play, creativity, and exploration. Manage behavior by establishing clear expectations and providing positive reinforcement. Foster an inclusive environment that accommodates the diverse needs of all children, including those with special educational requirements. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning experience for all students. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental progress of each child. Qualifications Experience with school aged children is preferred. Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices is highly desirable. Skills in creative arts are a plus, as they can enhance the summer experience through engaging activities. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, parents, and team members. Ability to adapt to various situations while maintaining a positive attitude and approach to challenges.
