Job Description
Lead Toddler Teacher Tumbleweeds Child Care Center 31 Prince Street, Wilton, NH 03086 We are looking for an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher. The right person will provide compassionate care to our community’s youngest learners. S/he will be experienced working with toddlers, and be ready to provide a loving and caring classroom full of discovery and creativity. Teachers are responsible for all aspects of running a high quality classroom environment, including supervision and nurturing interactions, lesson plans, observations & assessments. Our young toddler room supports up to 10 children between about 12-24 months. They are curious and busy and learning about the world around them every single day. Monday-Friday, Approx. 8:00-5:00pm with 1 hour lunch break (40 hours per week) Skill and Responsibilities Support children’s development through planning activities and curriculum Lesson planning to meet each child’s individual needs. Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and needs Collaborate with co-teachers Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Strong understanding of the principles of child development and educational methods Excellent communication and instructional skills Desire to continue to learn and grow as an early educator Must be associate or lead qualified under the State of NH licensing qualification requirements.
