Toddler Teacher

Job Summary:

The Toddler Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, stimulating, and educational environment for toddlers, ages 15 months-3. This role involves designing and implementing age-appropriate activities, guiding developmental milestones, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. The Toddler Teacher will create a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes growth in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical areas of development.

Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Management:

Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that supports the physical and emotional needs of toddlers.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Supervise children during activities, meals, and playtime.

Curriculum Development and Implementation:

Plan and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Introduce educational games, music, art projects, and sensory activities to promote learning through play.
Adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs and developmental levels of each child.

Observation and Assessment:

Observe and assess each child’s development in key areas such as language, motor skills, social interactions, and emotional regulation.
Document children’s progress and communicate observations with parents or guardians.
Identify any developmental concerns and collaborate with parents and other professionals to address them.

Parent and Family Communication:

Establish positive and open communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates on children’s development.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a positive team environment.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Comply with all state and local regulations, including health and safety standards.
